Data we collect
IP address — routes tests; retained max 30 days then purged.
Test results (consent only) — ping, download, upload, country/region, timestamp. Sent only after you click "Accept" on the consent banner, and never linked to your IP address.
ISP / region — city/country via IP geolocation for on-page display; not stored with telemetry.
We do not collect names, payment info, or sensitive data. No account required.

Browser extension
No personal data. The SpeedCheckTest Firefox & Chrome extension collects no names, emails, IP data, browsing history, or personal information.
Speed measurement only. When you run a test, the extension sends anonymous measurement traffic to Cloudflare's public speed-test servers (speed.cloudflare.com) purely to measure your connection speed.
Local history. Your past test results are stored locally in your browser's storage on your device only. They are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted.
No ads, no tracking. The extension contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party trackers.
Permissions. Storage (local history) and clipboard (copy your shareable result link). Host access is limited to Cloudflare's speed-test servers (speed.cloudflare.com) — the extension does not read or modify any other website you visit.
