What Is Ping?

Ping (technically called latency) is the time it takes for a small packet of data to travel from your device to a remote server and back. It's measured in milliseconds (ms). A ping test essentially asks: "How quickly can I get a response from that server?"

Why Gamers Care So Much About Ping
